Can Goose Down Comforters be used in Warmer Weather Climates?

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my blog!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah Connors, and yes, it is the name of that lady from the Terminator! But, I digress. My life lead me down the path to the marriage of a man from the little hoppin city of Miami.

Now some of you will say, ok, that's great, I wish I lived in Miami. NOT ME! hahaha, just kidding its ok here. But I'm from minnesota and the weather up there is just not like the weather in Miami. If I have to explain why, then you probably aren't my target audience!

So I found myself in Miami, married to the my dream hubby, going to sleep one night trying to get comfortable underneath my beautiful and expensive down comforter that I brought from Minnesota, but I was hot as heck!

The next morning I woke up and thought to myself I had better figure out if there's a down comforter out there for me now that I live in Miami, and why not write about it and maybe some other things if I enjoy this little adventure in blogging!

If warmer weather is coming your way. Does that mean you have to give up your cozy goose down comforter? I asked myself...

Mostly people think that Goose down comforters are used in the only cold season  this type of comforter is perfect for frosty nights. But here is, the question Can You Sleep In A Goose Down Comforter In The warmer weather too? Simply yess!!!

Lightweight goose down comforters can be used throughout all seasons, one site I used to research down comforters was  http://www.bestgoosedowncomforter.com. These fantastic goose comforters are a great approach to add style and color to your bedroom, plus they are also very purposeful.

It is difficult to find bedding style that can make the changeover between both the winter and warmer seasons, and it is almost impossible to get bedding that can be used as both in warm weather climate and in cooler months. But if you pick the exact perfect down comforter, I'm telling you, you can find a compromise for warmth, and breath ability that's going to keep you happy year round.

Although we often think of goose down comforters as being super warm, it’s a little known reality that goose down comforters allow air to pass better than the synthetic fiber material.  Tossing and spinning in a puddle of sweat won’t be a difficulty because goose down comforters won’t trap in moisture.

The technique is to get the right warmth for summer season such as a light/summer warmth comforter.  If light goose down comforters are still too thick, you must take a look at down throws and blankets.

These are filled simply a thin layer of goose down inside.  It is great to take away the cool from the air-conditioner, but not thick a sufficient amount to make you sweat.

A Lightweight goose down comforter provides you with the best quality of both worlds; lightweight comfort and amazing warmth in cold weather or coolness in warm weather.

When you're looking at lightweight down comforters, make sure you look into the details like the thread count of the comforter shell and the fill power of the down inside. You want to get something with a lower thread count so that it is more breath able. This will allow for better airflow from underneath the blanket to the outside air, and back.

The fill power is the quality of the goose down inside the blanket. You will want to stay between 400 and 600 fill power. Some people think that the higher fill power means the blanket will be warmer. That isn't true, actually the higher fill power simply means the bedding will be lighter and fluffier. You can still get a lightweight down comforter that has high fill power and stay relatively cool underneath.

Well that's it for now, hopefully inspiration will strike me again soon and I'll be back here to write some more!
